WTF I3/I5/I7?

Untitled

Intel I3

This is the “Start level” processor. It will have the lowest amount of cores and threads (more on that later), and, therefore - the lowest performance.

On the other hand, they will be the most power-effective and the coolest (meaning they don’t need good cooling systems), so I3 still can be a good choice in some use cases, such as:

And I3 is CHEAP. Very CHEAP to buy and run.

Intel I5

This is the “standard level” processor. It will have reasonable cores and threads and reasonable performance, but nothing fancy.

They are not as power effective as I3, but still OK. Arguably, best price/output ratio.

Use them for:

Intel I7

This is the “Advanced level” processor. It will heat a lot, needs a good cooling system but also will have great performance.

Eats battery for breakfast. Very (I’d say - unreasonably) costly.
